The Con is on…

For a few weeks now Virgin 1 the newest cable network in the UK has been advertising that Hustle, the wonderful show about modern day grifters was coming to the network. I was both surprised and excited about the return of the show to the minnow network Virgin 1. Surprised because I didn’t understand how a network with an estimated operating budget of £40 million was going to fun a show of Hustle’s stature. Excited because I really like the adventures of Mickey Blue and the boys and the scams they pull off.

So imagine my surprise to discover that the rumours were true, Hustle was on Virgin 1… and imagine my disappointment to discover it was just a repeat of the series originally aired on BBC1 some three years ago!

So Virgin 1 did not pull off a coup, no they just marketed a repeat of a show now three years or so old… so it appears for us dumb enough to tune in, THE CON WAS DEFINITELY ON!!!
